Kip Solutions
Driven to leverage social media for social good, I co-founded Kip Solutions during my sophomore year of college. Our team worked with nonprofits and social enterprises from around the world to tell compelling stories about their work and build meaningful communities around their causes. Some of our clients included: Café Impact (then, iOnPoverty), Opportunity Collaboration, and AMIS-Cameroon. Kip Solutions was acquired by Post+Beam in 2013.
We were recognized as one of Inc’s Coolest College Startups and were accepted to the University of Chicago’s Summer Accelerator program. Kip was featured I was highlighted as one of the Boston Globe’s “12 Bostonians Changing the World” and featured in Glamour Magazine.
My role
I directed all of our client work and managed client relationships. I developed and executed our clients’ social media strategies on multiple channels – setting goals, building campaigns, and creating a steady stream of content. As we grew, I also oversaw how this work was delegated and executed by other Kip employees.

Why social media for good?
I discovered the power of social media during an internship at a marketing firm. We were managing multiple social media channels for our client Lazydays, one of the most successful RV dealerships in the United States. I saw first-hand how people from across the country, who had often never met each other, formed strong community online around a defining aspect of their lives – traveling. They shared stunning pictures of the early morning views from their RV’s, offered tips for the best RV-friendly campgrounds, and chatted with each other about the latest RV gadgets.
I was inspired to apply that experience to my passion for social change. I asked myself: how can we build similar communities around social causes? There are millions of organizations around the world that are pushing forward revolutionary initiatives but have a difficult time telling their stories and rallying support for their cause in a meaningful, sustainable way. I saw social media as a powerful way to bridge this gap. That’s why I helped start Kip Solutions – to help nonprofits and social enterprises effectively leverage social media to drive their mission forward.
